I loved it. Its what science fiction is all about. Too many of you people want a solid conclusion out of every movie. I'm willing to bet that those that do want that also have little to no imagination.
The film is even more profound if you just lost someone you love.the message was that reality is subjective, and life means what you want it to mean

Stanislaw Lem was a great sci-fi writer. Solaris was his biggest novel, but I believe he's most remembered for his Commander Pirx short stories.
I have all of his books - a good thing too, because they're becoming increasingly difficult to find at the book store. No, people are more interested in reading Star Trek fan fiction I guess...
