My tap water just won't get cold

tap water has no cooler, it basically reflects the current ground temperature
if it has been hot for many days, the ground temp may be higher than normal, hence non-"cold" tap water

fill up a pitcher and put it into the fridge

I practically live in the desert and even when it's 100+ for most of the day my tapwater is cold. No cooler to boot.

I hate it when I'm on vacation and have to brush my teeth with lukewarm water. And no, I'm not going down the hotel hall to get ice to brush my teeth.

WTF level of hell are you guys stuck in? I've never experienced non stop warm water coming out of the faucet when it's turned to cold. If it's warm I let it run for a few seconds and it quickly cools down.
