All right, so I?m done picking my parts, so now I have a few more questions and I need an ok for this build. Also for each item you see linked is where I am going to buy it. Anyway here it is:
****************************************
System:
****************************************
CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
Questions:
1) Will I notice any difference between the 3200+ and the 3400+ ?
2) Is there any reason not to buy from Zip Zoom Fly?
Comment:
I want retail because I am going to play around with the heatsink later on, so don't bother telling me why get retail and a seperate heatsink/fan.
****************************************
Motherboard:
Asus K8N-E Deluxe
Comment: Well it was either this or the Gigabyte board and I am finding that the Asus board is getting better and better with each bios update while the Gigabyte doesn't seem to be improvin. I also got it from Newegg because I've heard that this board sometimes doesn't work and I hear that Neweggs RMA service is excellent.
****************************************
Heatsink/Fan
Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu
Question:
1) Does anyone know where I can buy the CNPS7000B-AlCu? I can't find it at any reputable place.
****************************************
Thermal Paste:
Artic Silver 5
****************************************
RAM:
2 sticks of Corsair Value Select
Question:
1) This will work in my motherboard in full DDR 400 speeds right?
****************************************
Sound Card:
Audigy 2 ZS
Question:
Will my case's front speaker and microphone port work using the Audigy 2 ZS?
****************************************
Video Card:
EVGA 6800 GT
ATI Radeon X800 PRO
****************************************
Hard Drive:
Western Digital Raptor 74 Gigabytes
****************************************
Case:
Cooler Master Praetorian
****************************************
Optical Drives:
NEC 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive and Lite-On 16X DVD-ROM
OR
NEC 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive and NEC 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive
Silence is the important thing here.
****************************************
PSU:
ENERMAX Noisetaker 470W
Enermax is a good brand from what i've heard and 470 watts seems like enough.
So this is my system.
To Blain: I will make polls later.
