What's the difference between whipping cream and whipped cream?

Whipping cream is a thick liquid which can be made into whipped cream by whisking it together, whipped cream is already done and is used on deserts and such.

BTW AstroManLuca, that recipe is really not that hard to put together. You have to wait ~20-30 minutes from start to finish on the pasta anyways, so you can prep the other stuff during that time.

Sorry, going to have to go snob on this one. A slice of processed cheese + processed powdered cheese do not make anything good. This is some REAL macaroni and cheese.

Ingredients

* 8 ounces small elbow macaroni (2 cups)
* 1 1/2 cups (packed) grated Gruyère cheese (about 6 ounces)
* 1 cup whipping cream
* 1 cup whole milk
* 3 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto, coarsely chopped
* 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation

Position rack in bottom third of oven; preheat to 400°F. Butter 11x7-inch glass baking dish. Cook macaroni in large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite. Drain well.

Whisk 1/2 cup Gruyère, cream, milk, prosciutto, Parmesan and nutmeg in large bowl to blend. Add macaroni and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup Gruyère over. Bake until cheese melts and macaroni and cheese sets, about 20 minutes. Serve warm.

* I like to add peas for extra goodness. A sprinkle of bread crumbs on the top before baking gives it a nice crust.

What about the cock...er I mean wieners?

I concur, its useless unless you stick a wiener in it.

And Im sorry, my wiener just wouldnt know what to do if I placed it in good mac n cheese, its used to the cheap box shit I place it in 4-6 times a month. Good, expensive stuff is just not my cup of tee, its about making cheap stuff worth eating, and not taste so bad before you put a wiener in it.

WTF? This is a topic about mac n cheese and weiners. Who invited the vegetable??

Atkins allows weiners and cheese. Please try to stay on topic. :D

Probably not, I'm just lazy when it comes to cooking. My three most common meals are quesadillas, pasta, and stir-fry, all of which involve very little prep and very few ingredients.

For those looking for a bit more substance:

1 box regular Kraft mac and cheese (use the regular cheese packet)
1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
1 packet albacore tuna
Heavily doused with Tapatio

Can't beat it for calories and ease of preparation. I never seem to get tired of it either.
