Best if you use the cheapest brand.

cook as normal

use 1/3 cup o milk

3 tablespoons of butter NOT anything else

1 slice of sandwich cheese

use packet of cheese supplied

mix all together over stove while still hot, take off when it starts to thicken

if you like to eat wieners, take one, slice in quarters, then bits, nuke in microwave for 1 min and add in at mixing time

makes any mac n cheese, even the 19 cent stuff taste like a million bucks

enjoy

That's downright sadistic.

I'm on Atkins, so I can't have the noodles, but I make a killer Cauliflower and cheese. Sounds iffy, I know, but it tastes just like regular mac and cheese.

Still delicious but inconvenient and messy? :confused: EDIT: That's what she said.

Sorry, going to have to go snob on this one. A slice of processed cheese + processed powdered cheese do not make anything good. This is some REAL macaroni and cheese.

Ingredients

* 8 ounces small elbow macaroni (2 cups)
* 1 1/2 cups (packed) grated Gruyère cheese (about 6 ounces)
* 1 cup whipping cream
* 1 cup whole milk
* 3 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto, coarsely chopped
* 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation

Position rack in bottom third of oven; preheat to 400°F. Butter 11x7-inch glass baking dish. Cook macaroni in large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite. Drain well.

Whisk 1/2 cup Gruyère, cream, milk, prosciutto, Parmesan and nutmeg in large bowl to blend. Add macaroni and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup Gruyère over. Bake until cheese melts and macaroni and cheese sets, about 20 minutes. Serve warm.

* I like to add peas for extra goodness. A sprinkle of bread crumbs on the top before baking gives it a nice crust.

Sounds good but if I'm going to put that much effort into cooking something I'd rather make something else.
