So yesterday night at around 12 am I went to walbaumns with a suitemate. The suitemate that I am refering to in the title asks me to pick up some tobacco related products which I don't like purchasing in the first place, but I have done plenty of times before.
We spend a good hour there because of only 1 register being open and a lady with 3 full carts in front of us. The tobacco section is closed so I couldn't buy him his sh!t there. Being a nice enough person, I stop by a gas station on the way back even though my other suitemate didn't really want to. It came out to be $1 more expensive than usual.
I come back to my suite and I unload my groceries. I go to his room and tell him it was a little more expensive and told him how much it was. He looks at me like I'm lying to him and says whatever. Of course I get pissed off and tell him that I really didn't have to buy him anything in the first place and I went out of my way despite the walbaums counter being closed. He replies with another whatever. No thank you or anything.
Another suitemate confirms that the product is expensive at this particular station. Then I say to him aren't you going to say sorry or thank you? Guess what he says NO! He says I made it sound like I charged him extra to make the trip, which is total BS. I think he just said that to cover his tracks. Regardless of the fact he accused me of something I didn't do and brushed it off. I told him never to ask me for a ride/favor again and haven't talked to him since.
Do you guys think I was right to get so pissed?
CliffNotes:
Go out of my way to buy something for suitemate.
Accuses me of stealing $1.
Finds out he's wrong.
Refuses to say sorry or thx.
Haven't talked to him since...
Am I right to get so pissed?
