All said and done, this was going to be a nice halloween. I worked until just after 7, but was headed out drinking with some friends. One of whom is in a ranger, in town on leave. I was looking forward to the night. Anyway, some dumbshit at work mixes their mop water fun, and just slathers it on when they start mopping. I go back to help a new worker, show her were things are etc. And I take a dive. straight back on my back, hit my jaw and shoulder, HARD. After a few seconds I can actually move. I get up think I am ok, cause of course im tough, etc. Finish closing up in a daze. As I am driving home I notice somethings wrong. I have no trouble driving, but my mind is racing and I am forgetting what I was thinking about moments after I think about it. So when I get home, and the guys stop by my house to pick me up, I get to send them on their way, because I have a concussion. Not a full time student so technically I shouldnt have health care, though I the company hasnt really been alerted yet. Just have my mom check me out(R.N.) and stay at home. I just woke up from a short nap. Feeling a little better, but still like I was hit by a Mack truck. I dont think Im going to bother trying to catch up with them.

Trick or treat! whatever

That sucks - I know the feeling - went ice skating Tuesday and fell backwards and nailed my head twice (back part of my head though) against the ice. Mild concussion, feels like (right now) someone jammed a shovel between my brain and my skull and left it there. (That and my neck aches like a mother *@#$)

Happy Halloween anyway

Bummer. :(

Even part time workers should be covered by workmans comp, which is what this accident would be.

true, but I didnt really notice anything was wrong until after everyone had left the store, and Ive never actually gone through workmans comp paperwork before. My mom was ready to take me to an Immediate Care Center in a heartbeat, but I seemed to be getting better, pupils were ok etc. Plus I watched too much John Wayne as a kid, so I usually don't go in until im bleeding and cant stand.
