the '05's are just the rebadged holden's, correct? So this is a proven tranny and engine right?

I might take a drive down the pontiac dealer just to see what they have to say. However as it stands right now I'm not sure how the gas costs and insurance premiums would effect me.

The '04s were rebadged Holdens. The 05s get the new LS2, new exhaust exits (dual tips instead of one side exit), and hood scoops. They actually look worse in my opinion, but its still a badass car.

I just think if you were going from one performance oriented car (Spec V) to something less, you'd regret it. Thats just me though 😛 🙂

And Mazda 6s aren't sporty 😛

the 05 GTO is still a rebadged Holden Monaro..the latest Monaro also gets the LS2 and stuff. GTO is good..but it's HEAVY...don't even think about driving it like an agile car because although it handles OK, it's not agile...

I still say Legacy GT hands down...if you want you can get the GT limited which includes leather and some other stuff..which may protect the resale value..but it's more pricey..myself I would take a regular LGT for that 2.5 turbo...you can even swap some parts with the STi..so when people mod their STi's you can get cheap hand-me-down's for a nice performance increase...STi uppipe, STi turbo, STi intercooler, exhaust + ecu reflash = niiice power boost (in the neighborhood of 90 hp)...and the sky's the limit...
