whoah. i didnt know it was possible to get 5.1 for $40! i thought at least $90. i shouldnt have spent $130 on 2.1 speakers.

I'm hoping you bought some Klipsches or something on par with them. I paid $90 for my Klipsch 2.1.

I hate to brag but I spent....

$350 on a set of Klipsch Promedia 5.1 GMXs

and

$150 on a Audigy 2 sound card.

Thank you, very much!!!

End of brag.

The only thing that pisses me off is that Klipsch is giving away a 2nd sub now with a purchase of one of their 5.1 systems. The bastards had to wait until after I bought mine to have this kind of deal.

THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME TOO!...well, when i buy something, and a hot deal surfaces right after i buy it...rawr 🙁 i want an amex card w/ that price match after 6 months thing...

Hey, cheap speakers can sound good with a soundblaster. I used to have some Altec Lansing speakers with my SBLive and they kicked butt... at least until I got my 400-watt Klipsch's. 😉

Yup, running them with my on board nforce2 5.1 and the sounds is AWESOME for $50 including sound card 🙂

The prices have probably gone up a few times since this was originally posted.
