Argh, this sucks. I havea sound blaster live 5.1, midiland S4 8200's and they wont work all of a sudden. I have the SB live drive set to output to the SPDIF out and from there i run digital coaxial to the ADS 2000 of the midiland speakers. I set the midilands to accept digital input, but all of a sudden they dont work.

I had taken out the digital coaxial cable to test my new receiver, and when i put it back, no sound.

Any ideas on what has happened?

the live drive is enabled and receiving power(i know this cuz i can see the optical out light is on.) I did play with the muting abit, but that did not help.

Sure it's not taking a nap? Dead is such a strong word. Seriously though, did you try rebooting? That helps in my system with a Live.

yep, its been rebooted a few times. I thought that the drive was accidently unplugged at first. My next option is to try an optical cable.

I would suspect the cable as well. Try putting it back onto your receiver and see if you have any problems with it.

already tried. It work fine. I think it is the SPDIF out port.
