Hello everyone!
Just wanted to show what I've picked out for my system thus far. I'm hoping plenty of pro's will stop by and critique it!
Let me know what you think! The only things I've purchased are the Antec 900 for $70 from Fry's, and the P5K-E for $190 from Fry's. Both of these can still be returned for awhile. If the P5K-E turns out to be crap, I can send it right back to Fry's.
Well besides that, check it out!

Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Motherboard: P5K-E/WIFI-AP ( Essentially a deluxe without the dual LAN and some cooling options. )
Processor: The E6850 when it comes out on July 22nd.
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce 8800GTX
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
Power Supply: CORSAIR 620W
CD / DVD Burner: SAMSUNG SATA DVD Burner
Aftermarket Cooling:
1st choice - Tuniq Tower 120 P4 & K8 CPU Cooler
2nd choice - Scythe 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler
CORSAIR CMXAF1 Memory Fans
1st choice - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
2nd choice - ARCTIC COOLING MX-1 Thermal Compound
Monitor: SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22"

That is what I would like to call my future dream machine. As soon as the E6850 is available, I plan to go on my buying spree. But if anyone can point out a major flaw, please do let me know. I don't want to run into any problems when building my future baby!
Alright then, hit me with what you've got! :p

Added the Tuniq Tower & Arctic Silver 5 as first choices.

Hi, your mb is fine, don't bother returning it. If you are getting the EVGA 8800 GTX for the step up program, unpack it as carefully as possible and don't loose anything :) They are very picky about that, if not, MSI 8800 Ultra clocked at 2300mhz memory is a better choice for only $70 more.
Also, have you considered getting Q6600 for the same price? Imo, there's no reason not to get the extra 2 cores for the same price. That's just me though. What else, oh, for only $20 more you might want to get Tuniq 120 Tower, it cools noticeably better than the Scythe. You also should consider getting this monitor instead, they are the same spec wise as 226BW but this one has wider viewing angles (170deg vs 160deg), I've seen this monitor before in action and it's an absolute beauty. 226BW, however, is a fine choice too. And lastly, get the arctic silver 5 paste instead. Rest looks superb, good luck.

Thanks Marc,
I'm actually going with EVGA for the Step Up program like Sinn mentions, but thanks for finding a cheaper alternative.
Also, I had my eye on the Tuniq before I ran into the Scythe. I think the only reason I switched was because I was going to get a GIGABYTE motherboard that had a backplate already, so the Tuniq wouldn't work.

If the Tuniq is better, I can easily add it back to the list. Do you have any links to show how it performs against the Scythe? That would convince me which way to go on the matter.

And thank you Sinn,
I didn't realize EVGA was so picky about the Step Up program. I'll be sure to be careful with it. Thanks!
The reason I'm not going for quad core is because I'm a gamer. I don't plan on editing a movie, photoshopping, controlling NASA, and gaming at the same time. I'm looking at clock speeds and overclocking ability. Most games out right now don't even utilize dual cores, so theres no reason for four. A good friend of mine mentioned most of this to me and it all made perfect sense.
Again, if anyone has a link showing the Tuniq Tower compete, that would be great. But I remember reading enough about it to make me want to buy it the first time. I suppose theres no reason I won't go ahead and do it now if people keep recommending it.
As for the monitors, I've only seen the 226BW in action, and I was impressed. So I'll probably be going with it. Thank you for the suggestion though!
Regarding the thermal paste, I don't really know the difference. So, whats the difference? Hahaha.

I appreciate the comments guys, keep 'em coming!

Well that convinces me, thanks for following up Sinn! You've been a great help, and I've just posted these specs.
Hope others have useful comments too! Can't wait to hear more!

Well, I found the link for the Tuniq Tower review. Looks pretty nice, I can't lie.
It was reviewed by AnandTech here.

Besides that, what else can I do with my system? Let me know!

Well from what I hear, the E6850 can't be overclocked that much? But I would like to overclock it, yes. Why do you ask?

You are paying a lot for DDR1066 RAM when you could get DDR800 ram(still overclockable) much cheaper.

e6850 uses a 9x multiplier. So at stock we are looking at about DDR2-667 1:1. He is hoping for a 4 GHZ overclock, so that will be about DDR2-900 (a little less) assuming a stock multiplier is used. The the multi is dropped then he will have enough overhead for the 4gz overclock. Granted, at a 1:1 the DDR2-800 will be sufficient, but it is always good enough to have a little extra overhead. The difference in price isn't all that much in comparison to total cost of the system. The reason why i would want to use the DDR2-1066 is because of the guarantee for overhead and the possibility for tighter timings than DDR2-800. For those 2 things, i think spending the extra 50$ is worth it.

BTW: I recommend getting the arctic silver on ebay if you have an account, you can get it for about 5 bucks cheaper (and it's new)

Hahaha, its true! I leave NASA control to my laptop anyways.

Sadly I don't have an ebay account.. so I'll just surrender the $5. Fine me a way to save $500 and I'm interested though! :p

I hope my parts are looking pretty good to everyone! And that answers my memory question. Buffer space is always good!

Any other suggestions? I love to hear em'!

If you're going with an 8800GTX and are keeping the possibility of SLI in mind, I personally would suggest sticking with the 620w Corsair (if only for peace and mind).

Yeah, thanks Aflac. I don't really think I'll be going SLI, but I don't want to wreck my system w/ a crappy PSU.

There will always be those who say a lesser PSU will do it probably will...but the 620 will also...

Good Luck!!

Ick, don't get AS-5 get arctic cooling MX-1, it performs better, slightly harder to apply, but it is non conductive.

Or you could man up and get the Shinetsu X23 7783D which will perform about 1 degree better than the MX1. If you want to risk fusing the cpu and heatsink then there is always the option for collaboratory liquid metal stuff. It only performs about .5 degree's better than the X23.
