My soon to be father-in-law killed innocent babies today!~!~!!!!

Not really babies, but close enough. Stupid fvcking hicks!!!!! :|

For months now, this female Wasp has been building a small dirt nest over my family's front door. She has never bitten us, we've always had a peaceful co-existance. So, 4 months after she unpacked her bags at my doorstep, a collection of about 20 pods for her offspring had accumulated I actually watched the first one emerge from the nest this morning when I was getting my morning paper. Everything was fine and dandy until I came home from work today.

Before I went inside, I noticed that there was a clump dirt in my grass. Upon further inspection, I found the Wasp larvae mixed in with the mud, already dead. As I approached the site where the nest was, I could just see the mother walking around the remains of her nest wondering where in the hell her babies were.

I have already asked everyone in my family not to touch it. My Brother/Father-in Law were also at my house today. It turns out my F-I-L saw it as he went inside of my house, said "Hey, yall got uh hornet's net heere" then proceeded to commit murder. :|

Arg - it just bothers me to see a creature put so much time and effort into ensuring that it's genes will get passed on, yet have them killed by a stupid hick who never had to work (as hard as the wasp did) to procreate. 🙁

/Rant off 😉

Dude, it's a wasp. Why be afraid of a wasp?!!?!?! 😕
they hurt and make me swell up

Not if you don't mess with them (or at least that's the caase with this wasp).

rbloedow, where do you live. Here in Florida we call these wasps mud daubers. They are the most beneficial wasp I have ever seen. They take out a LOT of nuisance insects like flys and such. I have then around the house and never bother them because they leave me alone. I recommend that you take a can of RAID and spray your FIL with it to educate him as to what it feels like to be one of his victims. BTW he just saved the lives of countless bugs that humans hate. I hope they bite him for you.

Uh, you're a little weird. Wasps sting and are not beneficial to my daily life.

They're benificial to mine, they kill bugs that eat my plants (catepillars)

Yea, that's what the wasp is (I'm in FL too) - I just didn't know what it was called. 🙂 Thanks! 🙂
