My Sonata 1

lol it was positioned side wise just for the picture. It really is turned 90* it has about 6-8 inches of open space in the back 🙂
 
First thing would be to dremel out the bottom of the front panel to improve air intake. Last time I checked, the SPCR forums had quite a few ideas on how to mod the Sonata to improve airflow, so you might take a gander over there.

Yeah i saw those mods too, just not sure if i want to cut up my good case.

The only heat issues i am having is my x1950 as it like to be in the 80's after an hour of playing a game 🙁. at load CPU <42*C, Chipset <60*C, and PWM < 60*C.

I am sure with my chipset heatsink so close to it isn't helping
 
Yeah i was thinking about buying some more yate loons as i could probably add two more and still have a quiet system.

The reason why i have the 120mm fan where it is, because everyone always complains about why the sonata 1,2,3 does not have a normal 120mm intake fan so i wanted to see if it really makes a difference. I am not too sure if it made a difference at all compare to the original spot.

Anyone have to good ways of cooling the bottom section better? I was thinking about removing the plastic casing from the X1950XT and put a 120mm fan on it and see if is any better than stock cooling.
 
How about taking some of your expansion slot covers off and adding one of these (Link) to your system. You can position it to blow across your VC and exhaust out the back of your case.

Alternatively, you could add a slot cooler like this (Link).
 
"Loud" is a relative term. Look at the specs for their "air flow" and "noise" and see if it meets your needs. The SpotCool has three speed settings.
