that's right, xp auto detects the new dual core chip, installs the necessery file and then asks you to reboot. Simple as that

I'm aware of the AMD driver and hotfix. But what is this reg key creation and boot.ini modification you speak of? I'm going to by an Opteron 165 soon, so I want to make sure I've got everything just so when I install it.
BTW--The hotfix fixes any need for setting affinities, right?
