My social studies teacher's going to fail me..

Crap! This guy wants to fail me because we had to do some stupid assignment about finding out what kind of college you should go to to become whatever you wanna be. I have no idea what I wanna become, but you could make something up, it didn't really matter. I talked to him a couple of days ago (the assignment is due next Wednesday) and I'm going to get an F for not going to college. After all, why bother making an assigment and not doing what's in it?

Damn . I know, Myspace is that away, go fsck yourself. Sometimes (most of the times, actually) being poor sucks .

Because he'll fail me regardless. And this assignment is 50% of your grade. Meaning that if I fail this, I'll either be held back or kicked out of school. And there aren't that many jobs out there for people with only a preschool diploma.

Okay, let me clear something up here.. I'm not going to college because we can't afford it, AND I ALREADY DID THE ASSIGMENT. I'm not lazy, I did it already. Victim mentality my as[/i]s.

EDIT: I filled in that I was going to be a computer programmer. For the 0.0000001% chance he changes his mind (he's really stubborn), any computer programmers care to give me an interview?

first off, do a 1on1 talk with your teacher, and get him on his good mood so he can pass you. offer to do the assignment over again to his liking and make it clear that you will be thinking about college. that's just how society works

thirdly, college loans? scholarships? get a damn job? wtf is your problem, kid? get off that damn WoW video game and go eat some school work! can't afford college, that's the weakest thing I've heard.

Damn, that's harsh for someone that doesn't know me. Loans and scholarships, that won't work. Over here, to be able to get a scholarship, you have to be really, really smart. I'm not stupid, but I'm not smart enough to get a scholarship. I seriously doubt it if I was even smart enough for college. I don't mind having to work with your hands more than with your mind, but man, a high school diploma would certainly help on the job market. I'm struggling through school now, so I don't think a job it really such a good idea. I mean, I can make money and fail a lot of classes or I can be poor (relative, of course) and not fail. I don't play video games, I always do all of my homework and you sir, are an idiot for assuming I'm lazy or feeling sorry for myself.

Just because mommy and daddy can't afford it doesn't mean you can't go to college. There are plenty of ways you can go to college if you want to. "We" don't have to be able to afford it, you need to want it badly enough to figure out how to do it on your own.

Just because mommy and daddy can't afford it doesn't mean you can't go to college. There are plenty of ways you can go to college if you want to. "We" don't have to be able to afford it, you need to want it badly enough to figure out how to do it on your own.

Okay, like what? A scolarship won't work, you have to be REALLY REALLY SMART. Loans don't work either, the governement has some dumb requirements for loans for people that are (still) in school. I was thinking of joining the military and coming home with a big pile of money so I could go to college, but you've got a pretty big chance that'll either kill me or leave me scarred for life. But, seriously, if you've got other suggestions, please tell them. I'd love to go to college.

One thing you really can't do is explain yourself. None of us understand why the teacher plans to fail you on an assignment you have done but not yet handed in.

He plans to fail me because you're supposed to apply at the university in half a year for the path you chose. I haven't given him the assignment yet because I won't see him again until next Wednesday. And please, don't blame me for dumbass rules the governement made.

EDIT: I didn't say I was stupid. You either have to be REALLY poor to get a scolarship (we're not that poor) or REALLY smart. That means, basically straight A's all year 'round. And I try, but I'm no straight A-student.

Sigh. I didn't say I don't WANT a loan, I'm saying I don't qualify for a loan, because there's stupid mandates and rules as to how much you can loan, when you have to pay it back, interest rate etc. etc. if you're (still) in school.

I'm pretty sure Vegitto doesn't live in the US. I seem to remember a YAGT where he was over near Britain somewhere. Colleges are not the same over there as they are in the US and scholarships and financial aid is usually just not available unless you really are outstanding. Give the guy a break.

It sounds like you need to go higher than your teacher to get this straightened out. Talk to the principal about it. Better yet, send the principal an email with your side of the story and offer to make an appointment to meet with her and the teacher to talk about it - that way you don't come across as a lazy whiner because you're offering to talk about it face to face.
