Slowly but surely... i am giving up on video games. i do not play my xbox at all, i do not play my computer games at all. right now i just go to work (it'll be college next week), and visit my girlfriend on the weekend. all i do now is play guitar/bass, hang with friends, skateboard, and work/go to school.

yeah, i agree, i've done things where there where no good games or i just got bored with the ones i was playin', but never delete them, you'll be pissed, cuz you go back, you always go back.

that and i dont see why you can't do all those things and play video games. i do all that stuff you mentioned play violin ontop of it, and make the women come back to my place. its easier that way, cuz you can kick them out and go back to video games.

I'm 20 and going to be a third year in college....I feel the same way, but this started back right before I came to college. I thought i was going to play so much games and watch so much anime, but absolutely NONE of it happened and I never picked it up. The only thing I play now is WOW occasionally and its taken me over 1 month to have a level 26 undead preist, and about 3 months for a level 35 human priest
I just don't find them interesting with the other things i can do..

What time do you have to wake up? I usually get only 6 hours of sleep max at night, usually 4-5

6:30, commute to work is an hour or so and hopefully get there by 8am. then im gone at 4am and prepare for the 1.5-2hr commute home. woohoo. usually get about 6-7 hrs here... the 'real world' sucks :(

my experience has been the opposite actually. I am home by 5:20, and until I go to bed at 1ish, I have lots of free time to work out, read, watch tv, hang out etc. Weekends are even better, I hardly stay home...

I got away from them for a while, but starting to play again. I don't know if I finished any games between 2001 and early 2004. But then I played through HL2, and in the past couple months I've played through a couple more.

I think the doing domething is the key. Since I work at my comp 8-5, I find I can't go home and sit at the computer for another 2 hours to gain 1 level in WoW. Besides, I love the adrenline rush I get from playing tennis or out on my road bike.

The weekend is where I sit back, catch up on the latest news, and keep my technical skills sharp.

Shoot, I play them again now after having taken some time off. I have a live-in g/f now with a little one (6 years old). The bills and all the responsibilities are hard to get away from while at home, but firing up the xbox is a blessing for taking my mind off of things for a while.
