My first week of college we took a career assessment test and I just got the results back today. Looking it over it seems to be pretty accurate to who I am and I'm just wondering about some of the other recommended professions. More on that later. Any help would be appreciated.
First, my personality. ALL SCORES ARE ON A SCALE OF 20-80, NOT 0-100. Keep this in mind when looking at these numbers.
Conscientiousness: 68
Adventurousness: 37
Extroversion: 38
Compassion: 47
Dominance: 48
Innovation: 52
Financial Management: 71
Indebtedness (high=no debt): 58
Stress: 50
My strengths:
Thorough, precise, and good with details
Organized, likes to follow a plan or schedule
Able to grasp abstract concepts
Clever in crafting solutions and responses to problems
Relies on logic more than emotions and enthusiasm
Focused and succint in speaking
Cautious and tends to avoid risks
Supportive of others
Easy to work with
Good team player
Comfortable operating alone
Able to make tough decision and hold people accountable
Good careers for myself, same scale of 20-80, 80 is best:
Computer systems analyst, banker, actuary, mathematician, statistician, investments planner, accountant, economist, comptroller: 76
Electrical engineer, aerospace engineer, civil engineer, architect, environmental scientist, computer system engineer: 64
I'm still satisfied with my current major of EE, but certain other professions certainly grab my attention, such as an actuary or accoutant, or anything dealing with mathetmatics and money.
What do you think based on some of the things above?
