My sister stole my car.

I was driving my parents car to school today, and I decided to come home before going to work, when I got there I saw that my sister was missing and so was my car. My parents are not home cause they went up to the condo for the weekend. My sister just turned 16 and only has her learners, what should I do when she gets back? should I make her pay me not to get her in trouble? there has to be consequences, cause I think she has done it before as well, any idea what I should do?

I wouldn't settle for anything less than a weekly wash and wax, gas, and a "Do anything you say" card. 16 with only a learner's and already out cruising alone in your car, and any trouble she gets into gets slapped on your insurance? She'd be getting a deal!

Proof is a very good idea...

Don't blackmail her, that will only make her look for a chance to return the favor.

Just make sure she can't get the keys any more. She'll deny ever doing it before (since you can't prove it) so tell her you don't know if that's true, so you will have to assume she did. Start checking your mileage to make sure she doesn't use your car in the future, and tell her you're doing it.

If your car is a POS then who cares. If it's newer than '98 and is semi-decent, report it stolen and scare the crap outta her when the cops bring her into the station. Then keep the police report as blackmail.

Or you can just ask her if she has any hot friends that she could hook you up with.
