That said, there is no way that the school can "take" money from that account to cover the cost of moving the desks back. Before they can even suggest that, they need to PROVE that it was seniors who pulled the prank. What if juniors decided to pull a prank a year early... it'd be an even bigger prank, since the seniors just got blamed for it. And, last but not least..... You can lead a cow up a flight of stairs, but you can't lead a cow down a flight of stairs. Mooooooo!

I agree that they need to prove that the seniors did it. However, I know that most schools create the accounts that the seniors' money goes into. They thus have full authority over it, no matter who earned it or why it was deposited. All money deposited to ANY school account becomes full property of the school. And yes, they would have every authority to take money from it to cover the pay.

Yeah, there is absolutely no proof it was the seniors that did any of this - it's just assumed which is mildly ridiculous. And I said the money is "coming out of the Senior Treasury" - they aren't taking it, they are, however, apparently demanding it.

I think it would be pretty funny if it was a bunch of freshman or something - I've been saying that since 1st period this morning. :p

Heh, the prank itself was funny but the kneejerk reaction made the situation even more entertaining. I don't know if anyone really believes they will cancel Ball - doesn't seem like any of my friends do at least.

That's pretty funny:D

My brothers grade had seniors with small cars drive into the main hallway and lined them up in a row. There were a couple Z3's, a pair of silver SLK's and a Chevy Nova. They had to take apart a door and an adjoining window to fit the cars in, then they put it up.

I am embarassed by our class' prank. I left 5 minutes into it and never found out the rest of what we did.

I remember seeing in a yearbook that my local highschool has been for sale several times... and one time there was an advertisement placed in the local newspaper per the sale of an entire fleet of school buses.

Oh, and one of the kids that's a farmer spread a load of manure all over the place a decade or two ago ;)

Coaxing a secretary to let us in the closet to "get something for a teacher", and happen to cause the local server to delete most of the objects in the NDS tree, then doing a hard reboot

I wouldn't classify these as a prank. More like criminal activity.

that is a pretty good prank. i am going into my senior year and i have lready started planning out prank. so far we have thought of sealing the auditorium completely and filling it with water. turning outr 100 x 100 x 40 ft auditorium into a huge aquarium. we have flushed out all the detials except one. how we are going to fill it fast enough that no one notices. we would obviously have to do it at night but could we fill an are that big in one night? we know we can get the water in through the ac but that much water i just don't know.

EDIT: btw our auditorium is completly emty ad if we sealed the main room off it would just be comcrete walls and a few doors we would have to seal off nothing to ruin.

There is no way it could hold that kind of pressure most likely, assuming you could even supply the water. (you'd have to use a fire hydrant, which is probably a crime) Also, the resulting water damage would likely get you some nice jailtime as well as a hefty fine.

The pigs idea is classic... I'll have to remember that one. It'll be good for something someday. I could see the principal saying "We caught 1, 2, and 4, but where the F is number 3?!?"

For my highschool graduation, they had a senior breakfast in the cafeteria. They had these center pieces on each table, which were vases with fake flowers and marbles in each one. We each took a marble, and handed the marble to the principal when we went up on stage to get our diplomas. At the end of the night, the sleeves of his robes were filled with marbles. Kinda lame, but most of our class was fairly appathetic about such things.

Another possibility for a prank would be to "fork" the football field. You'd need a lot of plastic forks, but it would be pretty fun.

At least where I come from, auditoriums tend to have things like chairs, hardwood, electrical outlets, etc in them. Unless you feel like replacing all of that, and doing some jail time...

Just so you know, that plan is flawed anyway. One match would set off exactly one sprinkler head. Then that sprinkler head would put the match out. So, that means you would need to gain access to the server closet to set off that sprinkler head.

Besides, using a hammer to knock the solder out of the sprinkler would be a quicker way to set it off. ;)

So they're going to punish all kids for a handful of pranksters?! What kind of adminstration is running that school? It's not like there's a serious threat to the school. And we had similar pranks at my schools as well.

at my highschool, we had a decommisioned Fighter Jet. We pushed it off the latches and into the street. was great. Since then, they chained them and couple of years ago, they removed it totally.

And Senior Ball is back on!

Today in my Broadcast Journalism class the principal came in to get a message to the perpetrators taped and put on our schools closed circuit station a few periods later. He basically said it was never their intention to cancel senior ball (note: didn't mean they wouldn't). They just want the key back. There will not be any out of school suspensions (note: talk about giving in - haha). They just want whoever did it to turn themselves in and get this over with...and they wanted the master key back. Hah. So that was aired at the beginning of 7th period. He asked that whoever did it go see him by 8th period. As I was leaving to get some lunch 8th (I love 8th period free) my Broadcast Journalism teacher told me that an school admin just told her that whoever did it turned themselves in.

Senior Ball is back in effect. :)

I wasn't worried anyway - seriously, parents would have been so pissed. Not to mention, no one actually got hurt or anything. I dunno if the $ for overtime (it comes to like $1700 apparently - I guess in addition to the overtime for maintenance and custodians they had to call in people that were supposed to have had a day off) will be paid for by the people that did the prank or by the Senior Class, but whatever, I'm not too worried either way.

So yeah, I bought my tickets to senior ball after school today.

EDIT: I think that the plea by the administration just adds to the impressiveness of the prank. They had to basically agree to very little punishment - no arrest or out of school suspension - to even find out who did it and get the key back. This will be a senior prank that goes down in history.

About the same time I graduated, some kids at a school a few miles away threw a car in the swimming pool. I thought it was funny as hell. I think three kids got cought and charged with vandalism, and didn't get to walk in thier graduation.

To bad people are wimps and talk. Never talk about the stuff you do if you intend to not get caught. And dont give yourself up. The whole prank becomes moot.

On the other hand, the people that pulled it off will go down in history as having pulled off the greatest prank our school has ever seen. Not to mention, making it so good that they didn't get caught and had the administration by the balls.

It's not a bad situation either way.
