Picked up a store display BR player at Wal-Mart for 125$. Came with remote, everything, manual. Never been plugged in, barely touched as far as I can tell, some paint worn off where they kept the theft deterrent device at. Seems quick using the PS3 Blu-Ray trailer disc (have PS3 in front room).

Yes, I can notice the difference between BR and DVD although BR looks way more grainy, but only on some trailers.

Model is DMP-BD30 (Panasonic).

It's cheaper than the Insignia BR player and on par with refurbished ones on the Internet. The funny thing is it says like 398 on the tag and it may have been marked down to 248.

Wait, if you have a PS3, why did you get a BR player?

Did you really need two players?

Projection TV in front room with no HDCP connection, and 50" plasma in my room, yes.

I have that player, it should serve you well. You updated the firmware, right?

Probably about as much as he needs one blue ray player.

No one NEEDS anything except food and water.

Haven't even looked into it, bought it after I went to work and then played with it and went to sleep.
