I get sentimental when I retire some of my computer components. After many dedicated years of tireless service without fault or fail. These F3's will be relegated to backup single HDD status as a storage drive. Here is what my performance data shows after benchmarking. I think I got these in 2009 when they first came out. I had the Samsung F1's in a RAID 0 before and those are still working as well to this day.

Samsung knew how to make HDDs (and now SSDs!), I pulled an 80GB out of a Dell from 2006ish that had been engulfed in flames from a ream of printer paper and the drive reports no errors nor makes any odd sounds.

I feel the same way about componentry :D
