My roommate is attempting to cook.

He tried to peel a potato, but he couldn't figure out how to do it. He looked like he was going to cut himself with the potato peeler. I had to give him a potato peeling lesson. After that, he started cutting up the potatoes to boil (he was making maxhed potatoes) and started chopping them up into the tiniest peices possible.

After that, he pulled out the 9 POUNDS of chocolate chips he bought to make chocolate chip cookies. When asked why he bought so many, his reply was, "I wanted to make 3 batches of cookies". Based on his recipe, he has enough chips for 8 batches of cookies. He doesn't even have enough flour for that many cookies.

I'm not predicting good results. Also, his mom is sick so he's going to try to make the turkey tomorrow for her. We were discussing gravy and he had no idea what "giblets were". I'm glad I'm not eating thanksgiving dinner with him.

He should just buy one of those "arranged meals" from a gourmet grocery store. In his situation, it would be a lot less hassle than he's going through now.

hm, with the roommate cutting the potatoes into small pieces, i would think he would end up with a watered down dissolved potato paste. heh

you seem to have a habit of constantly complaining about your roommates....

everyone has flaws. part of being human.

i feel sorry for them.

he cut up the potatoes before boiling? LOL. self pwn.

It's actually faster if you halve or quarter them before boiling.

Yeah, I would probably quarter them.. but to dice it up like that? hahahaha.... good luck with that.

nice that he's trying to help out his mom... i know i couldn't begin to cook a Thanksgiving dinner
