Yes, but not everyone has the fault of betraying the ones that they "love".

Imho, "I'm not here to judge people" is a major cop-out. Imho, it just means that you don't have the nads to stand up to someone who is acting so poorly. You'd rather be their "friend" then to be the one to confront their hurtful behavior.

Beautifully put!

No offense intended here friend, but it's none of your business. I've seen people get involved when they shouldn't have and it never plays out well for anyone involved. Maybe he just wants to see if he really wants to be tied down, but either way, it's his business, not yours. It's his perogative to cheat if he likes, and unless she is a close friend of yours, in which case I may tell her about it, i'd stay out of it and let him do things his own way. I'm sure he'll get caught eventually if he keeps it up. Why not just tell HIM that you don't feel right about what he's doing, and if he keeps it up, you'll feel obligated to tell her? That way you give him a chance to redeem himself, without getting all in his business.

What I don't understand is how you think it's your business when she is not even a close friend of yours, and he is . He's an adult who can make his own decisions. It sounds as though you may be jealous.

i just lost a lot of respect for my roommate 🙁.

That's the right way to feel about it.

Now comes the hard part, for which some will flame me.

You have a responsibility to tell the single mom. She has a right to know the truth about the man she's dating. If he did this it's up to her whether or not she wants to marry him.

This will likely force you or him to move out. Which you should already be considering.

The quality of our character is evident in our smallest actions. He has proved his, now prove yours.

Because they don't run in my circle. Yes, a reason I wouldn't tell the GF is because our social lives don't overlap and if I cut her off, I'll be the same now as before. Like I said before, my loyalties are to my friends, not my friend's GF.
It's a shame that you don't believe that the people who run in your "circle" can't of higher calibur. Your expectations (and acceptable qualities) of your "friends" doesn't seem very high.

Someone like this guy would be on the outside of my "circle" looking in.

If I were in your sitution and I considered ther room mate a good friend, I wouldn't rat him out. My loyalties would be to him not his gf.
So, your loyalties would be with the liar and cheater, not with the innocent woman and children.

Interesting. Sad... but interesting.

I'm the judge, jury, and executioner. I will pass judgement on whomever I like, b/c I'm a man who knows the difference between right and wrong. People who are too scared to form their own opinions and act on them are: A whiny b!tch who watches the game of life from the sidelines riding the pine.

If u don't have the balls to tell her, then I will. Give me her number, I'll even do it anonymously and block my number.
Give this "friend" what he deserves, a nice "dose of reality". Hey, it's tough love baby. Better that u make him own up to his imperfections than when it will affect him later in life, like marraige. That's what "friends" are for.

Some of u people make me sick, u act like little children trying to convince one another what the right thing to do is, even the ones I agree with. I don't have to convince any peons on a messageboard what the right thing to do is. If u don't know by now, u never will.

For all those who think he should mind his own business like a wimp:
"I feel sorry for your mother"

Of course it's his business. While he didn't go out looking for this trouble, the clueless roommate brought the trouble home, like dog poop on the bottom of a shoe. The question isn't just a matter of should you clean it up or ignore it, once you see it you have a responsibility to stopping it being spread all over the place.

so, what's the update? dolph?
IMO, you should confront your roomate, maybe he has sth that he's not telling you.
Dont threaten him, just be a friend, be a spot.

I like what you said, sometimes I even feel the same way. A little bit gruff but it works.

Thanks man. People need to realize that other people's lives affect their own. If you share a living environment and events occur that cause you stress, you need to do something about it, not just sit there. Especially things that you know are just plain wrong.
