Additionally, I don't think the OP is being racist, mean or insensitive at all. It's all in how you say things.

He didn't say "My stupid Indian roommate" or something dumb like that. He merely pointed out the fact the dude is Indian...I guess maybe back there the homes DO have drains in teh bathrooms. Hell, the bathrooms at WORK all have drains in the floor. When I build my house, I will have drains in the bathrooms!

No more worries about overflowing toilets destroying the house, etc.

This was happening in my apartment years ago and I went up to find some older eastern european ladies doing laundry or something in the bathtub. It was partly the fault of the apartment complex since water shouldn't have leaked if all the water was kept in the tub.
