My roomate wants me out by Aug 31st [UPDATE]

Ok, I don't know how this works but here is what happen..

My rent for the current place will run out on the Aug 31st, I can move in to the new place by Sept 1st, so I thought this works out perfectly. But just today, my roomate told me that I can't stay overnight on Aug 31st. So that kinda screw up my initial plan. I was going to move all the stuff to the new place in the the afternoon of Sept 1st..but it seems to me that my roomate wants me to move everything out before 12am Sept 1st. Does that mean I need to move at midnight? That would be quite a pain in the @ss! But anyway, I want to hear your opinion before I confront my roomate again.

UPDATE:
Allright, so I had the new landlord agreed to let me move in on Aug 31. Now, my roomate is asking me whether I can move by the morning of Aug 31st! WTF!!!:| Ok, the first problem I have is...I am not a morning guy, I usually wake up at 11am (all my classes are in the evening), so waking up at 7am is a pain in the @ss for me! Secondly, I don't know if my friend will be able to come in the morning or not. (he has a SUV which I will borrow from) Third, Fcuk! I have the right to stay here until Aug 31 11:59pm! I don't have to comply to his fcuking request!!
Now, he is saying his new roomate will move in in the morning, so he hopes I can move all the stuff in the room to downstair (living room), and to make up for it...he said...I can leave my stuff down there until my friend come in. THANKS A LOT! Fcuker!
U know, normally I have no problem to make things easy for people, but I am not going to do it this time! If his new roomate is moving in by Sept 1st..then everything is cool, fine, perfect...and that's how thing is supposed to be done. Anyway...just want to get it off my chest!
 
My opnion is your roommate is a dick. A few hours are gonna kill him? Yeesh, anyway I'd try to reason with him but that seems unlikely. Can you move out during the 31st at all?
 
Your room mate is an asshat. What is so important that one night can't wait?

If you can't ask the new place if you can move in one day earlier.

Well, I will ask a friend of mine to help me move all the stuff. He has a SUV...and he has no problem letting me use his SUV on Sept 1st...
 
Well, we didn't get along very well, nothing disastrous... just cold. I know my roomate won't do me any favor, but I didn't expect him to be this "PRECISE"... After he told me all that, he said he hasn't found someone to replace me yet. A few days ago, I told him I would try to help him find someone, I am glad I didn't find any for him.
 
well your roomate is a dickwad.

but you are sopposed to be out on the 31st at MIDNIGHT. sooo see if your friends will come over and move you out and leave at 11:50 or something.

 
I will ask the new landlord to see if I can move in on Aug 31st, I'd rather pay extra $$ to stay at new place than making my roomate rich!
 
its possible his dickwad roommate might have a legit reason; i.e. the next roommate needs to move in that very day. but then again couldnt he at least be helpful and try to coordinate?

or maybe his roommate is just a dickless dickwad dipsh!t dickhead dick.

Well, you didn't read my last message. He hasn't found anyone yet, and it's unlikely that he will find anyone by Sept 1st.

 
Allright, just contacted the new landlord, she will let me move in one day earlier! Wohooo!
Now, my roomate can eat his own sh$t!
 
Rent a truck and leave your stuff in it overnight.
Offer him $20 or $30 to let you stay a night.
Stay with a friend and take your stuff with you.
Get a hotel room for the night and move your stuff twice.

If your lease is up then your lease is up. He doesnt have to let you do anything past the 31st.


I see that you've already remedied the problem.
