Man, I havn't spoken a single word to my roomate in like 2 weeks. The bastard just decided he doens't want to talk to me for some weird reason. Not that I care or saddened or whatever, but it's just always akward when I see him and I want to leave the room as soon as I can if he's there. Like 2 weeks ago I still greeted him but he continues to ignore me. Well, he can kiss my ass for all I care. Only 3 more weeks before the semester ends so I don't give a fvck, it's just that I'd prefer it if we got along. And no I will not talk to him about it, coz I don't give a crap, we were never friends anyways, we just got assigned to that room.

I've heard some horror stories when it came to roommates, but me and my room mate get along fine.

Maybe he just doesn't like you. Haven't you ever known someone that you just completely dislike? Sounds like he's holding his tongue to avoid causing any trouble. I've had some roommates that pissed me off just cause I didn't like them. It was better to keep the piece by being quiet than to bitch at them.

One of our roommates from our quad stole from us one night. All our cash from 3 of our wallets. We just couldn't prove it, but it was entirely obvious... even to the RA. We didn't point the finger, but we certainly didn't feel the same about him the rest of the way. Be glad you didn't get one of these...

Hiding in a room by yourself freshman year is not the best idea if you want college to be fun. :) It's the easiest way to meet people - to have roommates (and friends thru them too) - if that's the route you want to go.

A lot of people are quiet in HS and they think there's no way they want to become a party guy at college. You don't have to be... meet a few people and you'll have a circle of friends... easiest way to do it is through a roommate, especially if you're the quiet type.

I've been living with him for like 3.5 months and he was ok for 3 months until recently. So if he just doesn't like me, it should've started in the beginning. We were not exactly good friends but we talked a little, mostly about school work. But I seriously cannot think of a reason why he is like this right now. I don't touch any of his stuff, don't eat any of his food, I don't know wtf the problem is. I thought he was an ok guy until now. Oh well, it's almost over so I don't have to deal with his lame ass ever again.

Im a freshman at college. I could BARELY make a semester with my roommate. The way people have described him (and i agree) is a "Fast Talking Fro-y haired kid with a stuttering problem"... This kid talked so fast that often he tripped on his words. He listened to Linkin Park everyday, would nap from 6pm to 12 am (about when i would go to bed) and then would wake up and start his 5 hours of homework at 1 AM, leaving all the lights on... I couldnt take it and I gladly moved in to another room on the floor with a much cooler kid. Have yet to have a problem... Im getting a new roommate though next year. Hope its not some schmageckee.

My roommate actually got off his ass from his normal activities (watching MTV drama shows, counter strike, eating) and went to class for the first time in 6 days today. I was so surprised!

That would require conversation, which we haven't had since February.

Not really. I just don't deal with him because he's not worth my time. If I had an issue with him, I'd resolve it in about 2 seconds.

Roommates sucks in general. I'm glad I have never had one.
I got along fine with the two roommates to whom I was assigned in my college dorm. Since then I never had to share a room with anybody but I shared a lot of houses and apartments with people and many times I had personality conflicts with some of these people. You are fortunate that it will all be over in 3 weeks. I assume your roommate is having a tough time for some reason. I think you should try to have some compassion. Don't force yourself to do anything, but I think it's best to try to have compassion for people who are having a tough time in life.

Maybe he's just saddened that the semester is over and he won't see you any more. He's just trying to avoid crying in front of you because he'll miss you so much. There's just no words describing the grief he's feeling right now, so he's keeping it all inside.

You ever thought of that? Huh?
