i just got anew power supply and a new video card, what other reasons could a system randomly restart? It's not temps because i've been keeping an eye on those. Any other suggetsions?

edit: it's getting worse, my system is sometimes restarting right before the loading screen for Windows XP comes up.

so it wasn't restarting randomly before the upgrades?

it was restarting before the upgrade as well, but i needed a new video card anyways, so i got one and i thought it might be lack of power so i got a new one 🙁. I am still having the problems.

do a checkdisk. bad sectors can cause crashes.

i ran chkdsk and it corrected some JGrasp stuff, but it is still randomly restarting 🙁

bad memory. Do memtest.

i'll run memtest86 overnight tonight.
i'm going to check BIOS right now.

edit: I checked my BIOS and the "wake on LAN" is disabled.

edit2: I ran memtest86 for 8 hours (overnight) and had 0 errors. I ran it on default settings.

edit3: it's getting worse, my system is sometimes restarting right before the loading screen for Windows XP comes up.

Any other ideas? The reason i believe its the hard drive because its the oldest part of my system. I just reformated it, to see if that would make a difference, but the random restarting still continues.

bump =/, this is happening frequently enough where I need to fix it. If anyone has any other suggestions 🙂.
