Those were gawd-awful cars. WTH do you think makes that POS worth 5k? I wouldn't give $500.

In order for a car to be collectible, it has to be more than just old. Pintos are old too but I don't think many people are lining up to buy them.

I was 14 when those cars were out and AMC cars were for old people and dorks who didn't know any better.

I looked it up on NADA's site. High retail is $3575, but even then I'd like to know who would pay $3500 for a car that was a total POS when it was new almost 30 years ago. Average price is $950!
