My mistake. My wife has the primary account and I've got a profile on her account which apparently means I don't get that tab. I logged in as her and found it.

i don't want to spam, but a company i'm writing for (see my sig) is in the streaming video market. they are still really small and don't have anywhere near netflix's content, but the quality of their video is excellent (they claim dvd-quality). they use a p2p setup.

i dunno if they'll survive, as it's getting to be a crowded marketplace, but they did just sign a deal with Lionsgate, so they are apparently making some good progress.

anyhow, check 'em out if you want: ReelTime.com

The quality is good, but the selection sucks. I glanced quickly through, and I don't think I saw one thing I wanted to watch.

well, the documentaries are good, which is what i like. and as i mentioned, they have signed a deal with Lionsgate and CHUM Limited (who apparently is big for TV stuff in Canada), i wish they'd get that damn stuff up before my subscription runs out! :p supposedly they also have deals with the major studios in the works.

i dunno, not here to pump them, i agree they have a long way to go (their website needs a major overhaul for one -- it really drives me crazy sometimes) but i thought i'd throw their name out their since they have a similar product as netflix and joost, but it's open for everyone to try out.

If you don't yet have it available on your netflix account, there are links floating around that will enable it (at least when I tried it).

Selection isn't the greatest, but I did check out some classic Dr. Who.

To get it enabled you have to threaten to cancel. Click the cancel link in your account, and then it'll say something about watching movies online. Click the "learn more" link and then you'll have it. If it doesn't show up, do not proceed with the cancellation - maybe this doesn't work for everyone.

The best thing is the 5 minute free view of each movie! That way if you know you won't like it you can stop it within 5 minutes and decide on a different movie without having any hours taken away!

Brilliant!

Ya just found that out, thats the only thing I dont like about it, I hate IE. But, I still like it. Im watching Zach Galifianakis Live right now. Other than havinng to use IE, the interface is nice and it streams it perfectly (for me at least). I am very pleased with it.

I really dont think any movie is "scary" but they are better than most of the steaming turd piles they try to pass off as horror movies these days
