My respect for engineers has just been increased...

Currently studying for a physics course designated for Engineers (I can't fathom what the Physics majors have to go through) and it's a whole new ball game from the physics I should be studying (I'm a chemistry major). The comparison is akin to a player from the minors going against the championship team. I applaude the engineers that aced their physics course. I aced the physics I for engineers, but engineer physics II is going to be a stretch for an A (i think im shooting for a B at best). *hats off to the engineers

Update:

I got my B!

The one thing I remember about engineering physics was that the quality of the prof. would really make or break the class. Luckily I had good ones for 2/3 classes I had to take.

speaking of professors, the guy is definately aware of the subject matter. His teaching method however is suited more for a grad. level course in my opinion. He's very grassroots, meaning he loves to go into the derivation of an equation before going into it's applications. It's been a very steep learning curve, as well as a humbling experience. I taught physics this past semester to nursing students and they all received A's; I thought I would be prepared for anything in terms of physics, but talk about biting off more then I could chew.

You could be studying for one of these.

I actually don't mind statistics (I may double as a Math major, and triple with Biology). However, I'll take your word for it. Is that for a business class?

*EDIT..hahah nm, i just saw your name.

engineers ftw. Physics for physics majors get tough very quickly. I took 1 look at some graduate physics and thats the last look i am gonna take :p

you have no idea what engineers have to put up with until you take the FE/PE (the 2 engineering certification exams)

I haven't been a student for quite some time (10 years).

Most taking the higher level exams are already professionals in the industry.

Got "Big Book"? ;) My friend has his master in Mech. E and I saw that telephone book he used. Oh, Biomedical Engineers I think are absolutely nuts, along with Aerospace. You guys are very special people. BME is what I wanted to do, but I don't think I could have survived with decent grades.

no one of my professors advised me to not spend any money on testing materials since you can take it as many times as needed... so i just went to the free review sessions provided by my school and went in almost completely unprepared... and left limping from the brutal mind rape:(

yay, go engineers!!

my bio chem friend had to take the same physics as me though.. maybe just cause he wanted to take the shorter route (engineering physics is just 3 condensed course, instead of 4 at my school)

I just took the FE exam last month. 8 hours of HELL.
