My recycle bin shows that it has items in it..when I open it nothing is there

But when I click to have the recycle bin to empty contents it says I have 2 items to delete. It also takes for ever for the recycle bin to open now and it also takes forever to empty the contents. I had a couple of viruses recently that my AVG scanner took care of...but I'm thinking this is a by product

Thats just a flaw in Active Desktop.

Right-click on the desktop
Display Properties \ Effects

Highlight Recycle Bin and click Default Icon.
