My rebate is a week late.. any ideas?

I was thinking of something along the lines of

"This letter was returned from the PO as undeliverable due to smeered ink that was beyond my control. I apologize for the inconevience this will cause but I am a loyal customer of your products....."

I am a complete idiot with these rebates sometime... I know companies bank on this kind of thing happening. Does the whole, "it was the rain's fault" excuse work or does anyone have something better?

at least it hasn't been like SOYO,
i never received mine after 6 months,
rebate time was 4 months,
tried calling them and they dont even reply e-mails or pick up calls now..
sigh
what an a$$ company

I was in the same situation, and I called them and finally got the rebate... Don't give up!

thanks for the help everyone... I guess I should clarrify. I'm about to send it today but it should have been there last week. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed but it's worth the stamp to try.
