Well, this morning when I was getting into my newly acquire used car in order to drive it to the local tire shop to get the flat (which the previous owner had a temporary patch on it and didn't tell me) repaired, I notice that there's this weird thing by my seat.

It turns out to be the rear view mirror! I was actually giggling a little but then it subsided once I realized it was going to cost for repair. The previous owner apparently had it glued on with some sort of adhesive. I know that newer cars have their rear view mirror attached to the window and not to the frame of the car. Is there any adhesive you guys know of that will bond to glass?

I believe that originally, the rear view mirror was bonded to the glass since there are no latched area, on the structure of the car, was found when I looked to identify where it originally was attached to.

I was also looking for a Kragen's Auto parts store's website so I could find one near me, but you wouldn't believe this: They don't have a website! Or at least not one that I know of. I must be blind :)

Can someone offer any suggestions on adhesives or any other method to reattach the rear view mirror? I'd much appreciate it. Some how, this situation seems a little bit humerous :)

no biggie. Just go out to an auto sore and pick up one of the glue thingies and reattach it. That happens all the time. Its happened atleast twice in my dads car.

actually any store like kmart or walmart, or even Holiday gas stations have the kits. They are very cheap and work very well if you follow the directions.
