My Primary Hard drive just died, what should I get?

My Maxtor 15gb hard drive fail to run this moring, is there a way to know if the drive is dead? I can't even boot into windows. I think it's dead so I was thinking of buying a new one. Which one should I get as my primary drive?

PowerMax from Maxtor.....if drive is dead i would recommend driving to BestBuy today and get the Seagate 80GB for 39.99 after rebate, ends today, they also have the big 160GB for 59.99 if you desire....BBLinky.
Good drives, i picked up the 160GB this past weekend.
 
I tried PowerMax and my drive passed the quick test and the advance test WTF!!!
Right now I'm gonna do a defragment in Safe Mode.
