My prediction of the Democratic ticket in '08

They need more than just two junior senators (or, in Edwards' case, a former junior senator, with only one term of experience under his belt) on the ticket.

I don't really know my southern governors - are there any Democratic southern governors left who might be viable as part of a ticket?

Edwarda/Clinton will not happen.

I believe new blood will be on tap for the ticket.

That would be a Republican dream ticket.

The guy Cheney spanked in a debate and the Evil Queen.

Hillary is not going settle for second ticket. I could see Clinton / Edwards. I do believe that Hillary will run.

agreed, a senator-governor ticket would be better than a senator-senator ticket. There are still a good number of southern dem governors in states like Oklahoma, Tennesse, Louisiana, and Virginia. Problem is, are any of them popular enough to stick around until 08 and then be viable VP candidates?

I'm wondering who the Repubs will have run? Jeb? Cheney? John Mc?
Or maybe Bush will just do away with free elections by then....

Don't be an idiot about the 'free elections'. Anyway, I'd say that Cheney is a definite no. Frist is marketable and he'll have a great opportunity to market himself over the next four years with all of the legislation that is bound to come through there with such Republican control in place.

I wonder if Bill Clinton would win if he ran again (not sure if thats against the rules) in '08.

Hillary could be his running mate. :D

It'd be the first time that the President and his Vice President were sleeping together.

Unless Edwards gets more national exposure, it is unlikely that he will get a nomination.

I thought Edwards was a bad pick. Am I alone? I just couldnt see him as pres if Kerry died or was bitch slapped to death by Tresea.

Hillary might run, and the Dems might even pick her, but she has no chance. Edwards is done. He no longer holds any office as far as I know, and even with him on the ticket they got trounced in his home state.

The Republicans would be thrilled to see an Edwards/Hillary ticket, I think.

Hillary is so far out in left field, I can't believe anyone considers her to be electable. If she has any chance of being elected she is going to have to portray herself as more of a moderate.

Hillary on a ticket would be a nice step for America. Not because she is any good, but at least there would be some progress for women. That being said, putting Hillary ticket is a guaranteed loss and I don't think Democrat party can last w/o a unifying leader within the party.
