my plexiglass case.. lotsa pics

technically, it could have taken probably a few days if we worked on it.. but we never could cause we could never get together to work on it (my friend and I). and about everytime we did, we changed a design.

IE, using the enlight case was the last resort because I wanted it before school started... we had all the aluminum ready to design our own little cage, but it would have taken longer (and we wouldn't have that nice back plate for the I/O and PCI cards)

Damn cool, one last mod I would do, paint your drive faces black. Otherwise it looks damn sweet. Few questions though, how do you open up the case? How loud is it? What tools did you use to cut the glass? I didn't see any kind of case cooling, I'm assuming you don't use any?

Well thanks for the ideas, been trying to decide on a case and any mods for a while and this has definitely made it harder to choose.

There's a big mofo 120MM fan that is too loud now. and a rear 92mm. keeps it very cool

the side is the coolest part (how it opens). twist a few knobs and pop it off 🙂 Very toolless entry.

I had the store cut the pannels to the size i wanted.

Then we used a jig saw for the square cuts.. and then the hole cutter for the circles (which got crazy cause hot plexi was flyin all over 🙂).

BTW, what sever do you suggest?? I don't like pop up either, but it was there 🙂

oh wait, i remember now, you just have to stick some banner code in there. I'll look it up.

heh, didn't realize there was platinum members in the new fusetalk. heh.. cool.

violations, what violations... HEHEH.

i thought that was w/ concern w/ the back I/O plate. If so, i have that covered, i used the back of an enlight case 😀

Nice job on the case. It looks really nice. Once you've re-routed some of the cables through the tubing, please post some updated pictures.
