My plan for next week!

I just sold my computer for $1500. This month I'll be getting paid $1500. With that $3000 I'm going to the casino. I need to win $4000.

"WIN $4000?! At the CASINO?! You're fvcking crazy and full of sh|t!"

That's what anybody who's reading this is probably thinking right now. In fact, that's exactly what I'm thinking right now. But it's not as hard as it sounds. I've won $5000 over three days before and I can do it again. I just need to compress it all into one day. I think that's the hardest part.

"But R, why not just try for a few hundred, maybe $1000 at the most and then walk away with your money?" To that I have this rebuttle:

"$1000 ($4000 including the $3000 I'll be bringing with me) does not pay off $7000 worth of debt. I'm tired of owing everybody every penny I ever get. I mean, there's a good chance that is still going to be the case when I leave the casino, but the chance that I could have all my debt paid off is very overwhelming for me. I would probably take the chance to win $7000 over a gauruntee of $1000. Meh.

I'll be playing Black Jack. I spent three hours last night toning up my Black Jack skills and I'm playing right now while I'm at work, too. I'm going there next week, I'm going to run sh|t, and I'm going to walk out of there with a huge smile on my face and debt free.

Or so I hope.

Wish me luck!

Why not play poker, a game you can actually make money on as long as you know what you are doing?

Because I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to Poker.

Black Jack on the other hand, I have basically the strategy by the book memorized. As long as I play consistantly by that book, I should have a decent chance at winning. I think. I hope.

I predict another thread from the OP next week:

OH NOESSS I LOST IT ALL

LOL

Anyway, I'm sure you can do it as long as you follow all the rules.. My dad walked into a casino, sat down with $75, 45 mins later he walked away with over $1k.... so it's doable.

It's a big risk to take, but good luck at it anyway

You need to learn how to card count to shift the odds truely into your favor. A perfect strategy only mininizes the casino edge.

That's right. I'm going to try. That's all I can do.

Upset that you're not old, or brave (or even stupid maybe 🙂) enough to try to do the same?

Congratulations. I have good luck sometimes - not that good though.

Kiss that money good bye. Yes, be prepared to lose all that money. Not just be prepared, but expect to.
If I were you, I'd send it to your creditors and pay off some of the debt. It's a much better deal than blackjack. Whatever your APR is, you are guaranteed that return per year. That is your edge. In blackjack, the house has the edge.
