My Pent. 4 System (AOPEN MOBO) Locks up when I boot...

I changed the cpu settings and now when the computer boots it freezes on teh boot screen, sometimes i can press delte to enter bios but it only comes up with a black screen. I have reset the bios and all. Im lost, wtf do i do????????

If you are properly clearing the CMOS, and its still doing that......could be bad news. If its POST'ing, then its probably not your RAM or vid card. Which leads in the direction of your CPU/MB. But it takes both components to be working to even POST......tough one. Did I mention try clearing CMOS again (perhaps pull out the manual to MAKE SURE you are doing it correctly). A good way is just to take out that little battery on your MB.

Oh alright cool, yeah last night I think I was properly doing it because when it wouldnt reboot and i cleared it, it did reboot...but to make sure at home today im just going to pull out the battery and toss it back in, BECAUSE it SHOULD clear to the orginal settings right? Not reboot with the settings i left it?

OK, i poped in and out the battery, still getting the same error, wont let me in bios when i press del...goes to blank screen. is there some kind of ultimate reset that will reset ALL? im lost.
