For a PSU, I know there is a really nice Fortron based 450w PSU over at newegg for like $50.00. That's a great deal... I can't find the link right now, but just do a search. Fortron PSUs are great, can't go wrong with that.

For your monitor, consider a 17" LCD as well. Basically the same "screen size" as a 19" CRT, but will cost a lot less to ship, take up less space, use less power, and possibly look better (depends on who you ask :))

if in 3+ years you still have the same mobo you can just mod it to sli. very simple.

you can get some nice 17" lcds for ~220, just look for 12ms response or less. what tank was saying about the screen size is the difference between the way they measure lcds vs. crt. a 17" lcd has as much screen area as a 19" crt, or thereabouts.

as for the opticals, i have a dvd burner and a rom but if i had to do it over i'd just get the 2 dvd burners.

Ok so I'll get 2 of those NEC Black IDE DVD Burners:) costing $80

How many fans should I get and what size, brand...etc.?....

So would it be about the same price as a 19in crt......?

Right now as you all reply I'll add up how much I've got left for: case fans, monitor... and................ anything else?
