My parents need an HDMI cable to connect the cable box to their HDTV

Parents have new hdtv.

Just got the new cable box supporting HDTV.

Can someone link me to a cable that will work for them?

I don't want to ask at best buy and pay $100 for a $15 cable.

Thanks a lot.

Depends on the cable box. The box will have either component outputs, hdmi output, or dvi output.

Then the tv will have component inputs or hdmi inputs.

Match the output of the cable box to an input on the tv.

All my cables for my HDTV are from monoprice. The prices are great. Just don't order them one by one (the way I did it) and you will save a lot on shipping.

You can get an HDMI-to-HDMI cable at any electronics store for $20-30, there is no need to spend $100

Here's a six footer.

Have them measure for their application.

OMG, 6 bucks for a HDMI cable. Talk about getting @$$ raped with no lube from the brick and mortar stores.

I have that exact same cable (SKU 2412) and it works great with our HD DVR.

For the record, I didn't get raped by the stores. I don't have a HDTV to worry about such cables or expenses

For longer lengths, you might make sure that they are copper core. For in-wall installation there are some with jackets.
