What are you using for monitoring that temp?

I use everest and my ASUS probe...they both mirror each other thus I know they are accurate!
I have seen too many other temp monitoring programs that even though they are getting the same reading off the same connector they are both radically different!!
36c.....beats all to hell what you would idle at with the stock AMD heatsink I am pretty sure...
Yet 36c is not the 27c-30c that I get with the zalman9500 or the XP 120!!

Well its at 39 cause your using it lol. 36C is normal for that chip w/ your room temps. You might get 35-34C when you reverse that top fan to an intake, but remember, this will introduce some dust. I worry more about noise as long as temps are w/in range which yours are. Only takes 2 minutes to reverse the fan lol. So you never told me....whats the verdict on the CM fan?

exactly, that's why im confused. what fan do you have on your xp-120? and you use that zalman controller too... so what did you hook up the CPU fan to? i get mine tomorrow.... that better fix it!
First of all...heres the scenario....for better or worse I have an Aspire X Dreamer case...
I just replaced the bottom 2 80 mm intake fans with a Coolermaster 120 mm-- yes it was possible to do!!
I am presently using on my XP 120 a coolermaster 120mm fan!!
Which out performs easily the Antec Smart Cool Fan!!--which I was using until I got the coolermaster fans in!!
For the rear exhaust I have the Thermaltake 120 mm Smart case fan!
Which moves more a lot of air!!!
I also have a Zalman fan bracket fb123 with a Zalman 80x80x15 fan attached blowing air onto the memory!!
On My Zalman Fan controller I have my Zalman VF700 attached.....
I have the rear exhaust fan attached.
I also have my heatsink fan attached.
I also have the front intake attached.
I have the fan blowing air onto the memory attached.
I am debating wherther to put the upper fan and the window fans on the zalman also!!
Note I have no fans attached to the mobo connectors as of now!!
Also since I did the coolermaster fan switch my computer is so much more quiet yet I am still getting the temps that I desire from the CPU !!

Nice setup. Nice cabling job. I'd give it a 9.1 on the Dynamix scale. Me, I'd move the light so that it is vertical instead of horizontal, that way you get the effect on the entire fans at the top, instead of lighting 1/2 of them. On pic comp261lz.jpg, that molex converter or whatever cable that is--it sticks out like crazy. Sleeve that bastard, and tuck it in more. Also, consider sleeving the HSF... Just a thought.
You definitely worked on it, and it shows. Very nice.

they spin, they work, they're nice!my bottom chamber isn't hooked up ATM, waiting for the fan controller tomorrow. i can survive 1 night without it. after 6 1/2 hours i dont want to open this damn case again tonight, the fan can wait until tomorrow. and you never told me... do you want more pics?

Well, if i remember correctly you put one of the coolermasters in your lower PSU bay...
When I had the 120x38cm antec down there, it sucked a tremendous amount of air thru that chamber, even being in the middle like it is there was no need for another 120 in the very front.
Check some of the sites that did reviews and builds on this case though, I do remember one site (which I can't recall) which decided to wedge one in there somewhere...
