Take my always broke buddy for instance. He makes enough to support himself. If he wouldn't waste money constantly, like 20oz mountain dews 4 times a day and eat out every meal. He got this small 5k windfall he had been swearing he was going to invest and not spend for months before he got it. 2 days later he had a new motorcycle and no more money. Late on bills within weeks. He just recently got a another 6k same promises week later hes got a fancy SUV and can't pay his bills again. Now hes got another 12k on the way do I give him a month this time?

Oh, I don't disagree that there are people out there like this. There are quite a few. I guess to get to the heart of the matter is that the cost of living has went up, but it hasn't kept pace with wages.

Not just quite a few, a lot. I work in peoples houses for a living. Thousands of dollars in kids toys every where half I'm sure broke or missing pieces, random bullshit still in boxes brand new or clothes with tags still on it, electronics and such everywhere, thats just middle class people. Yet they give the how much to fix the furnace? You can't give us a discount? Sorry lady I don't have near this much stuff or the new car so you can go with out heat for all I care.

Cost of living has went up because we have more stuff, life is only easier now, not harder. I'm pretty sure people will never stop complaining. Jesus christ hundred years ago you were super lucky to have a toilet that flushed much less not have to cut wood for the boiler or load in the coal, electricity not unless you were rich. Get the fuck out of here with the cry baby lifes so hard these days bullshit.

Reminds me: I have an account I ignored for over a decade. Wonder if my negligence has paid off.

Believe me. When my parents had to have plumbing work done they were thankful because it's not always they have something done that's nice. My mom doesn't drive a new vehicle and has new clothes and all this shit. She drives an old ass 1990's Ford Ecoline van. My dad drives a used truck bought from an auction. The house they live in needs a new roof and lots of repairs, but they simply can't afford it. And it seems every year when they get a tax return the god damn vehicle takes a shit and requires repair. So there my dad is fixing the shit they own.

How much is the house? Whats so expensive? Not to pry I just don't see where the money could be going, food, utilities, phone, insurance, maintenance shouldn't be that much. Here that'd be less than $1000 for two besides car and house maintenance. $4000/month after taxes what $2500 leaves around 1500 for mortgage, house and car maintenance.
