My Overclocking Results

My system
Conroe 6600
Raptor 150gb
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Gskill 2gb 400fsb max

My problem is I can only get a stable 311fsb x 9 multiplayer for a 2.8ghz system

Anything above that just restarts the system after prime 95; is it that the vcore is low?

Should I go for more?

Anyone know where I can change the vcore on the asus p5 dh deluxe motherboard? Cant seem to find it.

I got my system up to 3.0ghz and didn't have any trouble with prime with the voltages set to auto in the Asus bios.
There is the possibility that your computer is getting too hot.
Also the RAM that machine isn't all that great, only 400mhz, that's not going to be helping you in the OCing department.
Should have spent a little more on the RAM and a little less on the video card in my opinion.

My temps are about 37 celcius.

Am I missing something, or should he be using DDR2?

It looked the same as in the picture, it might be the same but ddr2 the same ram heatsinks are used.
