I finally did it. After hemming and hawing. I decided if I don't do this now then I never will. We're planning on having kids next year so the wife said "if you can fit a baby seat in it, then you can have it". Fair enough!

M3 Sedan. Dealer says it should be in by early/mid June. Sample pics below.

Options:
Silverstone Metallic
M-DCT
Cold Weather Package
Technology Package

Nice. Were you able to buy it at MSRP or did you have to pay the BS market adjustment?

Awesome! That's the car I have my sights on, it's the price+power + practicality combo just can't be easily beaten!

I would like to know what deal where you able to negotiate on it.

And please follow up with your experiences when you get it, I would like to know how practical for family use it really is.

Congrats :)

Sweet. I was eying one up at the dealer while I was having a CEL checked out on my e46 M3. Nice car.

I can't imagine allowing a baby in a nice BMW like that. You're going to need to line the entire back seat in plastic.

slightly below MSRP. Total damage came to $62,400. I forgot to include the ipod adapter but he threw it in for free but the Silver Novillo leather was included at $860 instead of $950, I forgot to mention that.

I was on the fence about M-DCT but I kept hearing very good things about it. That it's much better than the old SMG in the e46 M3s.

Darkthinker, it's been mentioned on several m3 forums that the new M3 is probably cannibalizing the M5/6 sales because it's such a good value right now. Personally, I agree. Although I'd love to have the space of the M5 but 12MPG? No thanks. Even though I have a 4 mile commute to work I just couldn't justify that car at the cost its at.

Bought. Lease didn't make sense to me since I was serious about keeping the car for as long as possible.

enjoy your ride. The M3 has always been my dream car. Maybe I'll pick one up CPO in a few years

Please don't go crazy when you have the kid in the back seat. Cool wife though. How are OEM rubbers rated?

I'm 28 and still paying for my '01 Prelude.

Congratulations, might as well buy it now before they ban all the fun cars for environmental reasons, or gas is too expensive...
