Good god!! The olympics are SOOOO RIGGEDD!!! It makes me sick sometimes. IF anyone watched the canadian duet on ice, THEY deserved to win that competition, but the judges gave it to the RUssians who have held the title for some 4 decades. It makes me sick how rigged these olympics really are and how the favorites always seem to win, despite being beaten by better performers. After watching the figure skating duet tonight, it suddenly became clear to me how little things have changed for the Olympics.
 
I have to agree with you on all points, also I think that this travesty will cause people to lose more respect for the olympics. 🙁
 
I think they did it too spite the crowd. Or at least trying to compensate for the crowd reaction. There was so much buildup in the media to make the Canadians win, the judges prolly wanted to go against the flow. I think the Russian's second marks were too high, and the Canadians too low. I have no idea what they judge them on, but overall, the Canuks seemed to have a better performance.

Actually, my biggest rant with the olympics is that the Chinese athletes have such bad teeth. I think Beijing should buy them all some braces.

Also, it seems the Russians have brought back the old soviet union anthem with different words. Which is good, I never liked that anthem they had in the 1990s.
 
Well, I just saw it too and although the Canadians didin't make a mistake, their program overall is not as intricate as the Russians. If the Russians would have been perfect, there is no way the Canadians should have won but since the Russians made mistakes in a program that is the hardest of all the programs out there, then they were just even. The Russians are just more artistic and it reflected on their score but they made a few technical errors so it also reflected. The Canadians were flawless technically so it reflected in their scores but artistically, they are just short so it also reflected. Overall, I would say the judging is fair.
 
Maybe it's because the Russian guy was showing more skin and seduced the judges?
I think those gray and black outfits that canadians had, did them in. How could they compete with red and aquamarine 😀
