Some of you people need to realize there is a difference between being biased against someone because of the color of thier skin and being biased against someone for the lifestyle they lead, especially if you have to live with them.

1 in 10 at UNC are black, 1 in 10 at UNC are gay...that's what the guides taught us at orientation!!! Don't worry, ur friend will get by as long as he's not a real gay-basher.

Wow, it really scares me the way some of you think that gay men are nothing but sexual predators that can't control themselves and would rape you at every opportunity.
Because that is just NOT how it works.

Holy crap!!! :Q Mine was only $25! Do you guys have vacuum-sealed underground bomb-proof garage bunkers there or something? I'm just in an open lot, but still. Gads... Also sucks he can't use 'gay' in the stupid form anymore. That would kill me too. My friends and I have pretty much thrown out "that's stupid!" in favor of "that's gaaaayyyy!" exclusively. :D

Parking at UBC for the year is ~$800 or so (I stayed in residence, and it's a bit cheaper there).

Heh, like, if my roomate were gay, I don't care. I'd still call stuff gay. I'm not going to change my lifestyle just because he takes offense. Like, he can go, "That is so straight." whenever he doesn't like something then.

I bailed my college roomate out of jail after being arrested for underage drinking at a gay bar. Now that was interesting. :D

Only if you're a homophobe. There is no difference.

Bwauaahahaha, start sending him links on cheap, sturdy chastity belts NOW! :Q

And to all those "tolerance" freaks...to hell with that. I reserve my right to be a redneck. Get over it.

Dude, just have your friend tell his roommate, "Look, everyone has their "things" that they say. Mine is calling things 'gay' in reference to my disapproval. It's common vernacular and I mean no disrespect to you or anyone who is gay, so if it offends you, get over it because it has nothing to do with homosexuality."

Then he will have carte blanche to call everything gay as he pleases. Problem Solved.

Then if a white guy gets a black roommate, maybe he can try calling all his white friends "awesome dude" and see how far that gets him. "I mean no disrespect to your African-American heritage, it's just the vernacular."

Please tell me you aren't this ignorant. Unless you are a follower of Dr. Laura Schlessinger, it is pretty much accepted at this point that sexual orientation is not "user choice" either.

Who knows WHAT it is. Unless you ARE gay, you don't know how you come to that decision. But we all have our own theories, and let's leave it at that.
