Hello all.

Just upgraded to Conroe. Specs are in sig.

Upon running sandra memory bandwidth its come to my conslusion that my previous system:

3700 @ FX-57
ASUS A8N32-SLi Deluxe
2GB Corsair XMS4400 Pro TwinX @ 2.5-3-2-6 1T: 255MHz

Scores higher than my new system by about 1000 points!

Is it becuase my older system had much lower latencies? It seems to work in its favour than actual memory speed!

Any advice?

don't forget A64 onboard memory controller.

don't get too caught up in memory benchmarks. enjoy your way faster processor.

I am enjoying it but im not enjoying the fact that my old A64 Single-Core DDR1 system beats my new high-end system on memory bandwidth!

Synthetic memory bandwidth tests usually convert to only about 2-4% real-world performance gains so I would not worry.
