My, oh my, how this place has calmed down.

It must be because y'all missed me. I haven't been around much because this place isn't much worth visiting these days. If you want to keep up to date you know where to find me.

It would really be helpful if you didn't toss more gas on the fire. I'm not finding it particularly useful.

To much moderation, wheres the fun in a forum if people cant say what they want without being banned. I mean is sexism really ban worthy? The double standard moderation of these forums annoys the shit out of me.

An example "This damn fool needs to be waterboarded, then thrown in prison and the key lost." posted in the thread about a drunk driver killing a biker. Now someone posted something similar but about a green peace activist who vandalized a building. Who gets banned? The second poster. Double standards ftl.

If you have such a problem with the way things are run around here, post it in Forum Issues. (If you haven't already done it.)

I'm not so much concerned about the over moderation, but the complete lack of consistency in moderation (as you alluded to). Rules are applied arbitrarily, with equally arbitrary and massively variable discrimination.

lol.. comparing a murderer who tries to HIDE a body, with vandalism.

if you could "scrub murder off someone" like you could scrub paint off a building, and have the dead body come back to life... i could POSSIBLY see a comparison..

They don't scrub paint off a building, they usually just paint over it. So with that logic, I guess the solution would be to clone the person.

Its more the fact that two people saying the same thing get treated differently because of the moderators bias. Eco terrorism and manslaughter are both horrible things, yet wishing someone to die should be a ban or not a ban.

a little overreacting arent ya?
where did i wish someone to die?
waterboarding <> death

and for murder, which is what the person did, life in prison without parole is the most likely outcome, which = thrown in prison and the key lost

Didnt mean you, more in general. I could dig in the forums and find lots of examples wishing people to die. And see that only people who wish for murderers to die are not banned/warned. Moderation shouldnt be so iffy when it comes to things. It should be a clear line, or even better no moderation unless truly needed.

BINGO!!!!!

That's it.

And sorry Hzl - no need to post this in suggestions. I am already on the mod watch list. They know. It's only 1 or 2 over-aggressive dare I say Napolean-esqe mods.

Oh well, It has made me find other forums to spend my time, and moderators/admin that appreciate my input and assistance.

That and the HORRIBLE Fusetalk.😛
I do miss you Hzl, 🙁

Agressive forum moderation makes me chuckle. You're not an editor at the New York Times, people. Put things in perspective.

what you want is the so called one size fits all approach...yet in the real world that just is not possible.......the context and how it was said and the underlying meaning all need to be considered. Me thinks your rant is just baseless biatribe!
