A good mobo can make all the difference in the world. It'd be interesting to see if you could get the same overclock on the MSI.

Epox aint great . nick got lucky and got a great one. MSI is considered the perverbial king of 939 boards by most enthusiasts. EPOX OTOH has some troubles I noted earlier and anandtech did in his review. Memory being the biggest. Slots 1 and 2 not working and difficulty running 1T in any slot.

My advice is get MSI. (I never thought I'd hear myself say that:p)

slots 1 and 2 arnt working? would you like to come over here and see my ram running in slots 1 & 2? difficulty running 1t? again, would you like to see mine?

from what i hear, MSI is a mixed bag. i hear people love it, then i hear the usual MSI horror stories, and after my 3 bad MSI boards in a row it will be a cold day in hell before i buy garbage from them.

I don't need to come over, I can see in your benches your board is clean, mines not, same with others I'm dicussing this board with at xtreme. We all have TCCD ram too.

3 MSI K8N NEO2's you had? I felt the same way you feel about MSI until I see it's most popular, has about 10 modded bioses already and is major used and supported by community. Add in the fact it wins every mobo roundup on web....well. looks like MSI is changed.

did it run for 8 hours than fail? or what? also even if you pass the prime95 test doesnt mean you will pass the torture test which will be alot more helpful telling if its stable while ur gaming? do the torture test on blend and let us know... be more specific also :) thanks

im using slots 1&2 with the same board as you and got up to 240 before my cheapish memory topped out. 1t, 2.5-3-3-10 I'll try 3&4 though, it could be even better. :0

Nice o/c nick!

Wow, I'm amazed the speeds you guys are getting out of this TCCD memory. Just unreal!

Did you not read his post? He ran Prime95 (torture test) for 1 hour, then it failed. Then, he upped the voltage and it ran fine for 8 hours and did not fail.

There are only two possible outcomes after that: he was at work (so he can't verify the results further) or he stopped it because he wanted to use the computer for other things. Probably the latter.
