So... I'm taking a drive across America. JOY.

Just missed some tornado's driving through MO. So... On my way back to Oregon. I'm doing the speed limit in Kansas 75 MPH mind you! And people are passing me left in right. Most of them are in big SUV's. You know those huge gas guzzeling yukons Even frigen Ford F350's pulling 5'th wheelers are passing me.

Mater of fact I didn't meet up with one person that was going the speed limit. Aren't all you 90% religious fucks suppose to be going to hell for doing something illegal?

Hahaha Ok, back to my rant. Let's get real! I'm driving a Buick Riviera 3.8L super charged even, a car that was made to go fast, it gets about 27-28 on the freeway if I keep it around 65. So here I am going 75. I could go faster and burn even MORE gas. But I choose to try to conserve a bit. You know I don't want to empty my wallet out all at once to the ME!

Come on people. Every car in America is geared for 55MPH driving. Wanna go 15-25 over that? You burn up 30-40% more fuel trying to go faster and for what? So you can shave off a few minutes? I could see it if we all had few more gears to cruise at 80 MPH.

Kinda makes you wonder why they even sell CF Light bulbs and fuel efficient cars. Sigh. It amazes me how all these people that go 80 MPH in the huge SUV's and Trucks afford the 4 bucks per gallon.

Wanna support terrorism? Drive faster and send even MORE US dollars to the ME. Way to go retards!

I just think instead of conserving our resources we are just doing the opposite and seem like in a REAL hurry to waste it.

We can afford the higher gas prices because most of us here are not house poor like the coastal folks :p

You're driving an old 3.8L car across the country and you're bitching about other people's gas consumption? Nice work.

Nomination for dumbest post of the month.

Actually the dumb post is yours, his is pretty much true. 6 speed, and CVT transmissions, OBD II+ ECU's with better fuel maps, all sorts of different cam technologies all make for more fuel efficient vehicles at higher speeds.

If you're driving across America, you are saving well more than a few minutes by going 75 rather than 55, and the cost of the gasoline difference would be worth it in my opinion. Nice math, retard.

The OP isn't even smart enough to know that speed limits set the maximum speed allowed, not the minimum. The minimum speed allowed on most interstate freeways is generally 45 mph. So have at it moron.
